Mac browser issues

Postby bolobeo » Mon May 09, 2011 1:27 pm

Anyone experiencing mac browsers glitches as I do? Huge buttons, waypoints/frequencies unable to save etc.
So far most features do work with Firefox but the look&feel is best with Chrome.
No single browser works just as I would expect.
For me only? What about yours experience?

Hi Andrzej

Many thanks for your hint. So far, we were not aware of the mentioned issues. I usually work with IE8, but as well with Chorme / FF on PC I cannot reproduce the defects. Could you let me know the system you're working with?

Many thanks & regards,

Marco

I run system 10.6.7 and tried Safari 5.0.5, Firefox 4.0.1, Chrome 11.0.696.65 and even Opera 11.10 on a MacBook Pro.
Thanks for your interest. I hope you will easily find offending code ;)

Hi Andrzej

Having problems to reproduce. Is this how it looks like?

The "get flight plan" button on the last screenshot should be on the same hight as "reverse". The "Terrain map /power settings" should not overlap with the map. Is it about this? (Tested on Safari 5.0.5 // OS X 10.5.8)

Indeed, the problem is visible at your last screen shot. The waypoints panel is too narrow. Look at this screen. Upper is Chrome over Safari. Chrome is ok, Safari os overlapping areas. Both resetted to no zoom.
But that's not so important.
Try to save a user waypoint/frequency in your cockpit. My experience shows only Firefox works.

Hi

See what you mean... IE works actually fine as well, though it's not an option for a Mac user, right? Is there anything else than the frequencies?

Frequencies + waypoints. I do switch between browsers to have my job done.
Anyway, it is worth of this, today I made a three legs trip >700 km based on govfr flight plans. :)
But life could be easier.
